My name is David Combden and I am a Registered Psychologist. I treat individuals suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, stress, and addiction. I use cognitive behavioural techniques, but work from a person-centered perspective, using techniques that focus on thoughts, behaviours, and emotions but while also focusing on the client as a person. In session, the client is the expert in him or herself. I strongly believe that the relationship between the therapist and the client is crucial in any type of meaningful therapy work. I primarily use Person-Centered, Cognitive-Behavioural, Feminist, Mindfulness, and Systems approaches in my work with clients. I also employ EMDR for individuals suffering from trauma.
Since graduating with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 2004, I have held a variety of positions doing research, completed my Master’s degree in Health Psychology (in stress management and emotional expression), volunteered with a Distress Centre Crisis Phone Line, completed my Master’s of Counselling degree, and worked with individuals with disabilities. Using this diverse background to inform my knowledge and experience of life, I completed the path to becoming a Registered Psychologist in July of 2019. I also self-published a book in 2014 entitled Instances of Change: The Process of Personality Change, a non-fiction work in which I examined the possibilities of personality change in adults.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, running, cooking, writing music, playing guitar, and spending time with my family.
I am available morning, afternoon, and limited evening appointments 4 days per week.

My name is Savana Antonation and I am a Registered Social Worker with a Master’s in Social Work with a Clinical specialization. I enjoy working with people who are struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, boundaries, compassion fatigue and burnout… just to name a few. In my counselling practice I draw upon a few practice modalities—the most common ones being Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-based, Solution-focused therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques. I naturally work from a person-centred approach, which means that I believe the client counsellor relationship is one of the most important parts of counselling.
I graduated with my Bachelor of Social Work in 2016 and throughout my education worked at a shelter for women and children fleeing domestic violence and volunteered at the Lethbridge Family Center running groups for children. After graduating from my bachelor’s degree I began a career as a case manager for Children’s Services where I worked with children, youth, and families. In 2019 I began my master’s, so I could further my passion and life-long goal of becoming a counsellor. Since then have been working as a school counsellor working with youth.
When I’m not in the counselling office I love being outside, hiking with my golden retriever… but I also love watching a good show on Netflix! I enjoy getting to know new people and have a genuine interest in learning about other’s experiences.
If you would like to book in with me, I offer weekday, weekend, and some evening appointments.

My name is Kaycee Bevans, and I am a Master of Counselling student at the University of Lethbridge. Before becoming a counselling student, I taught elementary school for nine years and particularly loved my time as a kindergarten teacher. I have also worked as an equine specialist assisting with equine therapy and as a support worker for individuals with disabilities. As a teacher, I found that I was most passionate about building relationships with my students and helping them develop socio-emotional skills, self-awareness, and relationship skills. I am excited to be able to focus more on these aspects as a counsellor.
I am currently completing my clinical training under the supervision of David Combden. My approach to therapy is compassionate and client-centred, with a focus on each individual’s unique needs. I strive to create a safe and supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. Because of my background in working with children, I hope to continue working with children and youth as a counsellor. In my work, I am learning to draw from various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help you navigate challenges, build resilience, and achieve your personal goals. I am committed to growing as a therapist and as a person. I believe in the power of therapy to bring about positive change, and I hope to be part of your journey to wellness.
In my spare time I enjoy snowboarding, wakeboarding, hiking, reading, playing piano, riding horses, and spending time with my family. I am available on weekdays, weekends and possibly some evenings and am also open to connecting virtually.
